I'm 32, half Korean, half Caucasian/American with decent skin. I've been fairly lucky in that I hardly ever breakout and don't get too oily (although I prefer mattifying products anyway). Over the last few years, it's become clear that I needed to step it up to fix the growing unevenness and reddish areas in my complexion. For most of my 20s, I just used various brands of tinted moisturizer. After a while, I switched to just using Lancome concealer + translucent powder. I was never able to successfully get that glowing look that other people get when they use the right makeup. So I stopped by the Shiseido counter the other day and gave this foundation a try. My Mom swears by this brand, as do many other Asian women. It turns out this stuff is perfect for me. I got the B00. It makes my skin look virtually flawless and luminous, but like others have said, you don't feel like you're encased in a mask. It feels and looks very light. I use it over Smashbox primer and apply the foundation with a brush. I am curious to try the Shiseido brush. All in all, I am thrilled to have found a product that fixes my skin problems. Seriously, I feel like I look 5 years younger with this stuff.
