This is a first impression review of the colourpop shadow in Mittens. (I also got play and girlcrush which are lovely shades too but have yet to wear them a full day.)
The good (and its very good): This color is TO DIE FOR--nothing like it out there (although I admit that anastasia's e/s single in sienna is very close but not quite as pigmented due to its formula). This e/s is very pigmented, very blendable with a synthetic brush and its easy to blend out for a smokey daytime eye using powdered shadows in the crease and as a highlight.
The bad: If you have oily eyelids, this will crease and travel....imagine a red eyed racoon at the end of a workday....
This is a major bummer as I am not one for fussing during the day and checking my face. Heck, I usually don't even have time during my workday for a bathroom break much less messing around with my face and primping like a schoolgirl. So, I need make up that is low fuss and looks as good as when I put it on 9 hours later. (A tall order, I know, but I've learned this demand is met by many many brands, but sadly for my wallet, rarely are such products found in the drugstore).
So, I luvya mittens, but you will not be daily wear. Very sad, but would buy this again and again. Hoping I find a bulletproof e/s base so I could wear this to work, but been through the lot on the market thus far and no dice yet. Very sad--will try layering it with a similar powder (like anastasia). continued >>
