I bought this based on many gurus on youtube raving about it.
I wished I checked the reviews here, first!! I got this in the black one.
I am sorry, but this is not an intense black, to me it looks barely charcoal. I am not going to swipe-over-swipe (even though I did try, it still was basically a charcoal), which obviously will also result in a fatter line and more product sitting on my eye that can smear and smudge everywhere.
This has no sharpener, and says no sharpener needed.
However, this will wear down fast, and using it on an angle is not easy to control, due to it being so chubby.
I just think this is nothing more than a fat crayon (the product itself feels very "cheap"..) and I am very disappointed. Seriously, this was just like pulling a charcoal or black crayon out of the crayon box and drawing on your eye. I realize this is a drugstore item but drugstore liners have come a long way, and this one is horrible. Kind of surprised it is made by Maybelline, it seems more like something Hard Candy or NYC would put out.
Also very difficult to remove. Used several cotton balls and still had some trace black. Was tired of scrubbing and wanted to give my eyes a rest. Used this on bare eyelid to test it out, no primers, no concealers, no foundations, no shadows, NADA. So it truly was just this product that would not be completely removed. No bueno.
I am not one to return a product, but this one is going back. Even if there is a 'secret' to it, I do not want to fuss and muss with an eyeliner. Even entertaining the notion of "how" it is supposed to be used, I still see it as being a pain to use and wearing out quickly.
NO, I would not re-purchase.
Too many other eyeliners out there, high end and drugstore, to use and not have to mess with something like this.
