What. Even. The. Heck. For like $11, this is pricey for a DS product, to start. But the packaging is pretty, and it looks nice when it's closed, and it was enticing so I bought it in the shade "iced out" (or whatever it was called. Ice-something.) anyway. So I opened it immediately after buying it, and was horrified. Powdery, coarse, glittering and doesn't stick. Basically the anti-checklist of anything you'd want from a highlighter. Then it comes with this silly brush that makes no sense for highlighting and is really rough and I'm sure if you tried to use it, you'd just scratch off all your makeup. I put some on my hand and asked my husband "is this tacky? It's like stripper glitter, right?" And he goes "I don't even see anything." Right there should tell you: falls off, hard to see, and glittery. I took this back the next day.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Maybe it's just me who enjoyed this product. I bought the rose gold looking toned powder, I was in a rush since I had a birthday party to attend. Let me just say, I have no regrets. Yes it has glitter, but it actually flattered my skin since I'm medium to fair. The tone was perfect on my cheek bones. I loved the highlight affect. It wasn't chalky or powdery for me. It was creamy and soft, like a powder should be! I absolutely adore this powder, and will continue to repurchase.

i purchased this in ice from the ulta website. i read the reviews here saying it's so awful and personally, i didn't find this highlight bad! it wasn't particularly chalky or powdery and i thought it was very good quality for something from the drugstore. it gives a white, iridescent shimmer with small bits of glitter. personally, i'm more of a fan of "sheen" than "shimmer" and i don't particularly like the look of little pieces of glitter on my cheeks, so i took away a lippie for that. i think it's an excellent drugstore option for a highlight.

Please, don't bother. Poorly pigmented & not long-lasting. Once applied it completely disappears onto the skin which is NOT a good thing for a highlighter, which is intended to highlight the skin. It's very expensive as well. Might as well spend a few bucks more and purchase a high-end.

I bought this recently & tried it today, I must admit I'm pretty disappointed in it for ~$13! It does not show up on me. Kind of like the liquid LUMI which I returned. I can't return this coz it's obviously used but it was a bummer. I was torn on what color to get so I got Golden which I expected to be darker. I can kind of like use this as an all over the face powder I guess but then it just does not look fresh after a couple of hours. I guess I'm spoilt from my Becca highlighter Champagne Pop which is a world better, I haven't tried but Physicians Formula highlight might be better w similar DS price pointe. As for me I'm done w DS highlighters except Fergie wnw are decent. For me it will be Becca, Hourglass Ambient, or UD Naked Illuminator even thou Becca is 3x as $$$ as Loreal I guess highlight is something I can't scrimp on. That & MAC lipstick/glass/liner! Some things are too hard to dupe. This makes me look like a greaseball even thou it didn't show up at first it oxidized big time. I need to stop buying expensive DS experiments & stick w what most tried-and-true coz buying something I don't know can lend itself to true disappointment but I enjoy trying new products IF & WHEN they do work out.

After one of my favorite YouTubers raved about this, I had to have it in my life. I purchased this for 12.99 at Walgreens which I feel is too pricey for drugstore. This comes in a little compact with 4 different shades (I purchased rose) and a mirror/brush. Here's what I didn't like...

-chalky to the point where I find myself layering to build up any sort of glow

-so much glitter fallout, that transfers all over my face

-quickly wears off

This is nothing comparable to my becca or Mary loumanizer..maybe if you're a teen just getting in to makeup this might work out. Needless to say, I'll be returning.

This is a good product but I had higher expectations I got it in the shade rose its just a really white shimmery highlighter which I do love and the packaging is perff.

I normally use Kevyn Aucoin's Celestial Powder, but I came across this while waiting for an RX in CVS and I impulsively grabbed it. I really like the Lumi foundation and primer, and have repurchased both those products a few times. So when I saw this I figured I'd try something new. After all, the highlighting effect in the other Lumi products are pearlescent and I figured this would be the same. WRONG! It is SO glittery!!! I'm talking Bonee Bell 90's body glitter kind of glittery. I'm 32 and glitter just isn't cute anymore, nor do I WANT to look like a disco ball at a roller rink. If you go out in the sun with this stuff on, people are going to assume you're going for the Edward Cullen in the sun effect. It's NOT okay. I don't understand why makeup manufacturers equate highlighting with glitter. They should really be able to produce something that someone older than 13 can wear on their skin to highlight or bronze.
I'm telling you if you want the perfect highlighter, get Hourglass or Kevyn Aucoin. Yes they are pricier but they are gorgeous and I've had my Kevyn Aucoin for over a year and haven't even hit pan yet. So it's a worthwhile investment. This stuff, no Bueno. Unless of course you ARE going for the Edward Cullen in the sun glitter effect.

*heavy sigh* I am returning this product on my lunch break TODAY, and I just bought it YESTERDAY. I was really excited to buy this because a) my entire life is on a budget and most highlight powders are expensive and b) I got really hyped up by some positive reviews I saw on YouTube. #youtubemademebuyit

ANYWAY, I literally swatched this on the back of my hand in the car, on my arm when I got home, and then just went and applied it to my cheeks and bridge of my nose. I was NOT impressed. The swatches look pretty but the actual product does NOT apply well to the face. It was SUPER chalky, and GLITTERY, like actually flecks of glitter IN the powder. I just cant deal with that. And, I did notice that it also basically disappears from the skin.

Needless to say, I am disappointed and I am returning this ASAP. I guess I am just gonna have to bite the bullet and go high end for my next highlighter.

I was soooo excited when I saw that L'oreal was coming out with a Lumi hightlighter line. The powders looked soo beautiful in the pan, But when I took them home I was sooo disappointed with their performance. They are pretty chalky going on but I could over look it. What I couldn't over look was the glittery ness. As the day worn on the powder wore off and all was left was noticeable sparkles on my cheeks and it seemed to migrate to other parts of my face (chin, jawline, pores...basically places I didn't want it). Its really a shame because the color range of these products are beautiful (golds pinks and silvery purples). As a highlighter junk I was not impressed :/
