Please try this for yourself. Do not go by what others are saying. This is an amazing eyeliner. Dude, like I can't even. So it glides on so smoothly over eyeshadow and leaves a DEEP sooty black color. I even used it in the waterline and it went on evenly and stayed. Perversion has been my go to for several years now but I am adding Black Velvet to the lineup. I NEVER liked Zero. I go for whore-like levels of black eyeliner and Zero just never did that for me.

Just like Perversion, this did smudge just a bit beneath my lashes. But when you deal with pencil liners that are amazingly black you tend to expect a bit of that. Now I agree with the other posters, when swatched next to Perversion this looks more gray - until it sets. It sets to being just as black as Perversion. I guess it is the matte effect that takes a minute. I will be repurchasing this over and over. Glad I tried it.

I tried this out after reading so many great reviews about the 24/7 pencil, and was referred to this shade by a Sephora specialist, since i have oily eyelids.

I bought it without trying it on my eyes first, which was a huge mistake. It CRUMBLED and SKIPPED everywhere. By the time I was done applying, I had bits of eyeliner all over my under eye and patchy eyeliner. It was a hot mess. I really tried to make it work since it was formulated for oily eyelids, but I couldn't.

Returned it same day.

I gave this one lippie because I do not think I can leave a review with zero lippies. Do not be mislead by the one lippie. This eyeliner has no redeeming qualities. I got this in an ipsy awhile back. I finally got around to using it and gave it a go 3 times with pretty much the same results. This applies patchy. Even when swatched on the hand with a fair amount of pressure, it skips. When applies on the eye, I had to go over the area many times to get any color payoff. And in had to use a lot of pressure which is like stabbing myself in the eye. I even gave it a good sharpening in case the product had dried out but I got the same results. The worst part is that it leaves black flecks all over my face. I'm pretty disappointed as urban decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils are my favorite eyeliners. I have a variety of colors and use them every day. I won't be buying any of these velvet ones.

I didn't find this pencil was as effective as Zero, or any of the other UD 24-7 liners. It tugs on my eyelid and waterline, and isn't as pigmented as UD's other pencils. It's not creamy, but dry and skips on my top lid. I won't be repurchasing and I can't recommend this product. You're better off just buying Zero.

I got this in my Ipsy bag and it is my third 24/7 pencil. This one works much differently than the other two I have. The other two glide right on with great, even pigmentation but this one tugs and the color is patchy. I had to go over the line three or four times to make it look presentable. It also flaked a bit on m.y face. Maybe Ipsy got a bad or old batchy. I will say that it does last all day, as long as the other two pencils, and does not smudge.

I have super oily eyelids AND my eyes water a ton, and this lasts all day long on my waterline and upper lash line! Super easy to blend out for a smokey look too. Dark, long lasting, and creamy? What else could anyone want in a liner!! Worth the money!

I have found my new favorite eyeliner that I absolutely can not live without! This is a super rich pigmented matte black. Its not a blue black, or purple black or dull black. This is the black liner you dream about. It applies so smoothly and so easily. A little goes a long way when it comes to blending this out. And with how pigmented this is you need to be super careful of how much you apply. For me this lasts all day long and looks perfect, no flaking or smudging or running off. But I do not have oily lids at all. I especially love this for lining my water line. It goes on so easily and stays put all day. This does not irritate my eyes at all when I use it on my water line, and I have very sensitive eyes. When it comes to sharpening this guy you need to be so careful. The liner is so soft and breaks way to easily. But overall I can live with that because I love this so much!

I have used only this since I got it, and I have LOTS of eyeliners!! I love the rich matte color, the fact that it's a warm black instead of blue black, and how easily it glides on the eye. It also smudges nicely. I apply to my upper lash line, smudge with the tip of a stiff brush, then apply a little more right at the base of my lashes. Then stand back and admire because seriously it comes out perfect every time! My only complaint is that it flakes a little as I curl my lashes. Still can't wrap my head around a pencil liner having fallout...

This is a matte black eye pencil, which glides on smoothly. This eye pencil is nice and does not tug at the eye. You can easily smudge it to smoke it up. It also lasts throughout most of the day (except on the waterline- it tends to migrate). I do not use heavy black eyeliner, so I will not repurchase this item.

Not completely happy with this eyeliner. I do like how soft it is. Not tugging at the eye. The pigmentation is fabulous. However, I found it had a messy application with lots of fallout. It's texture is a lot like velvet, but the consistency is flaky and somewhat clumpy. It is very good for smudging though. It's staying power was not all day and about the same as my other favorite liners, 6-8 hours. It bled a little bit in the outer corner of eyes and also managed to find it's way down into the inner corners, smearing a bit by the afternoon. I have other cheaper liners that do not do this. I also ended up with a black smudge below my eyebrow, but I didn't use a primer. Now I know! I would definitely use a primer before putting this on. It transfers and slides very easy without some kind of base. I will continue to use it, but will not be purchasing a full-size.
