Just got this palette and I can't stop playing with it! I got a BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow single in Eclipse with my first ever Ipsy bag some months ago. At the time I checked out the full palette on their website but thought the color range was too challenging for me. I'm glad I changed my mind!
PACKAGING: Comes in your standard cardboard palette. Sturdy. Attractive and cool, but not "sophisticated" if that's a thing for you. Seemed a little young for me, but I'm decorating my face, not my vanity, right?
SIZE: 18 colors, good-sized amounts of each. On this basis alone the palette is a steal, I've paid more than the purchase price of this palette for one color.
WEAR: I used UD PP and it lasted my 9 hour work day.
COLORS: Oh, this is where it really shines. Gorgeous shades, really. Gold, Orange, Peach, Pink, Red, Purple, Blue, Violet. There are excellent photos on their website.
PIGMENT: Very rich, highly pigmented, true to pan. If I hadn't gotten more bold with my color choices this definitely would not have been my style.
SUMMARY: At first these colors may seem off-putting and scary. They were for me, too. But once I had them in-hand I kept blending and layering the colors (they work soooo well together) and creating different looks. If you are someone used to an UD Naked palette but wanting to brighten your look, take the plunge at this price ($14.99!!!) if you still can't handle all the color there's still about a 1/3 to a 1/2 of the palette that you can use in a neutral look.
NOTE: The thing that helped me transition to brighter colors: I try them on right before I remove my makeup. I know I won't play with something new when I'm getting ready to go out because I don't want to have to start over if it's a fail. Maybe I'm the only person that does this, but I'm going to take it right off anyway, so what do I have to lose?
