This is a simple balm; unscented, not too thin and not too thick. It glides on easily and actually heals chapped lips. I have full lips that can chap easily year round (and I live in the south). Most products actually make my lips peel and chap even more, so I was desperate to find something that truly works. This is it! The first time I used it, my bottom lip was so chapped that it had begun peeling in spots; I used this balm before bed and woke up to it basically healed up! It isn't thick enough to last all day, but when it does wear off, I don't feel that immediate need to slather more on. That tells me my lips are well hydrated. I feel like I have tried every lip product out there with no success. This has become my new beauty staple!

This lip balm is average when it comes to L'Occitane's Shea Butter products: it doesn't work miracles like some of them do, but it does everything it claims. It's easy to apply, it always glides on softly and smoothly as long as you store it at room temperature. It instantly provides much needed hydration for lips (especially in the winter) and smooths over any dry spots so lips are soft, even, and kissable. Some reviewers have complained that it's waxy, and yes, it's got bee's wax in it to help with hydration, so it's going to be a little bit waxy. But the results last for hours. It also provides a great base for lipstick and lipgloss so lips are nice and smooth and even before you apply your lip products. And I've found this product to be only very subtly scented, so the smell wouldn't bother anyone.

I love L'Occitane body products. This lip balm is a fail. It is not very nurishing, it tastes terrible and it does not last long. I prefer Bite lip mask much much more. This balm, in all, does not worth it.

Well it's about 8 degrees outside today. And windy. Really takes a toll on these old lips. This lip balm is dreamy. Not slimy, very moisturizing. Love it!!!

I needed a lip balm w/ out petrolatum that would allow my skin from sloughing off even when on. this balm does it and acts like a gloss perfect for alone or over lipstick

This feels good when it's on, but it seems to wear off quickly. I also noticed that in-between applications, my lips are EXTREMELY dry. I used to exfoliate my lips once a week, now I am exfoliating them about 3 times a week. I think this product is actually drying out my lips. I will not be repurchasing this product.

This is not a negative review. I didn't find that this did anything more or less than an EOS balm or a Hemp balm. It didn't heal my lips. Blistex Lip Medex works best for me for that. I found it to be very pricey for what it is. I like the line's almond milk moisturizer very much!

L'Occitane must have changed the formula. I just looked at the ingredients on here and they are different than on the tube I returned today. The first ingredient on the one I had was VEGETABLE OIL. Come on! For $12 I expect more. I tried this at least a dozen times. It didn't moisturize my lips well at all. Total FAIL.
