Me being the mascara fiend I can be,
I saw a two pack of this mascara in Walgreens for $5 so of course I had to pick it up.

The tube is quite large and orange and black. The name "curve alert" intrigued me the most, since I'm always looking for a lengthening, volumizing mascara that will also hold it's curl.

The applicator is a very large traditional bristle brush. The thing is COVERED in bristles. It's a pretty good applicator, but it is very big and it's hard to get the more difficult to reach lashes.

The formula is wet. I'm not a huge fan of wet mascaras, because they usually don't HOLD THEIR CURL *ahem* and they can smudge more easily than drier formulas. This one though, holds curl pretty dang well for a wet formula.

Adds volume, considerable length, and holds curl pretty well. It's better when layered with other mascaras. Smudges easily, but not a pain to clean up. Worth the $5 for two.

I bought this forever ago, but it stands out in my memory for all the wrong reasons.
I'm surprised I bought it in the first place, since the package is so hideous and Halloween-like. The brush is ridiculously big and was hard to use without smearing it everywhere or poking myself in the eye. I found the formula very wet, it felt heavy and did not do anything very positive for my lashes. They stuck together and did not look very long or full.
It was quite cheap, but there are lots of great drugstore mascaras you can get for around the same price. Definitely would not buy again or recommend.

Was on a mascara hunt and picked this up for pretty cheap. My lashes are short and sparse so good volume is a must with mascaras. I don't mind this mascara too much but I do dislike the formula. Extremely clumpy! I also prefer plastic/rubber bristled wands so this mascara was meh. The wand was too big to reach and grab all my lashes, didn't provide separation. However if you do like the spider lash look- you will enjoy this mascara. Didn't flake or smudge but I have tried better...

Rimmel has the tackiest packaging imaginable for mascaras and this is no exception. It looks so cheap. I don't love this mascara and won't repurchase because I find the brush too big and awkward, and the formula is very wet and clumpy. I know some girls and women like the "tarty spider lash" look, but not me. I want full, soft volume....not clumps and smudges. I shouldn't stray from YSL Faux Cils Shocking or MUFE Smoky Lash.

As far as inexpensive mascaras go, I really like this one. It volumizes, lengthens and curls my thin, straight lashes. It doesn't flake and looks great all day until I take it off.

The wand is curved and delivers the product evenly to my lashes. I just have to be careful not to put on too much, or else I get the dreaded spider leg lashes that I hate.

As far as the price goes, I think this one's a winner.

I'm loving this mascara so far. I have used it three times. Nice and light formula not to wet or to dry. Feels awesome on my lashes. So far this has: held curl all day, not clumped, lengthened well, have good volume at the base of my lashes, not flaked at all, not smudged. Overall I wish that it have more volume but this mascara is awesome to build and build tons of coats. Also nice black colour. The brush is so awesome curves perfect for my eye shape and can be used the same way on the bottom lashes too! I will repurchase this because it didn't burn my eyes either. And most mascara a do!

I wore this macara all day today and it never flaked or smudged off! As much as I was surprised, there were a few things I didn't like. First off, The mascara is incredibly difficult to apply. I thought the massive brush would do a great job at getting every single lash, but unfortunately it doesn't. Also, the formula is incredibly sticky and globs onto the brush. (Maybe that's why it didn't flake off)

I usually have mediocre feelings for RImmel products, as they range from super good to super cheap. There were things that I liked about this mascara, however if it were to go missing I wouldn't care much about it or replace it. My go to mascara is still the Maybelline Duo Ended Mascara and I would highly recommend that one over this Rimmel one.

I'm a maniac for mascaras & in all honestly, I was quite impressed with this one. I typically use two types of mascaras as it accentuates the first one used. In this case I used the Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Curve Alert as the first coat and then I used Maybelline Colossal Effect. When I went to school, I got compliments galore on my lashes ranging from "they're so incredible" to "Are those fake lashes?". The cost was relatively inexpensive compared to many other types of mascara & I would definitely purchase this mascara again!

This mascara sucked! This was the worst mascara I have ever tried. The packaging is pretty intense. The contrast between the black and orange really made it pop so I give it props for that but once you open it and actually use it. I was so disappointed. The brush is abnormally large, the mascara is really wet and when you try putting it on your lashes, it clumps and gets every where. I hated it. I used it about four times and had to throw it out. It wasn't worth my pay.

I was at Wags looking for the new glitter polishes I heard about on the nail board. I couldn't find them, but I did spy this on sale for $3 with a free waterproof eyeliner. Plus I had a $1 coupon. What the heck. I wasn't expecting much, because I just tried the new Rimmel eyeshadow primer and wasn't impressed with that, but hey, two bucks right? Anyway, I am impressed with this mascara. I'm not sure if this is also a new product, but I haven't noticed it before. The tube is amusingly large, about the same size as Cover Girl's Lash Blast, and the brush is very large as well. It's one of those bushy nylon types, not the new rubbery ones. I didn't think I could work it but it was okay. The package says there are no clumps, but there are; they're just not the large kind. They're tiny and it was a little tricky. I noticed that you must apply this in one shot - once it dries that's it. Getting on a second coat is next to impossible. But it provided curl, nice volume and impressive length that did not flake or smear. I wore it about six hours in 90 degree weather before I removed it. Not the greatest mascara I've ever tried, but I would definitely repurchase this.
