I'm such a sucker for duochromes and I can't get over how gorgeous this eyeshadow is. I love that it's kind of a purple lilac that shifts from blue to pink. I love it!

This is my first high end eyeshadow and I'm so glad that I got it. I wasn't very pleased with the price tag, but it's Urban Decay so that's expected.. however I'm still in love with this shadow.

I use it either as an all over lid color with a darker outer crease or I place it in the center of my eyelid when I'm doing a halo look.

I love the color when it's swatched on the hand, but when I put it on my eye it was basically like any other purple color. When I went in to Ulta I was looking for the Aphyxia (spelling?) but they were out and the lady said that Tonic was close in color. It's long wearing.

Tonic is beautiful especially for brown eyes and pale skin. It makes me feel like a space queen. It looks like a bright purple in the package but turns into a lilac/violet on your skin. It shines slightly blue and reddish in some lights and is an all around incredible color.

It is finely milled and not at all chunky or super glittery. Unlike some shades this is not a glitter bomb. And, again, unlike other shades this color will change on your eyes depending on light. This is not one of those colors that only switches around in the palette or on your hand.

I actually use this color on my face, sparingly, as a highlighter. I brush it on softly and then blend blend blend. The effect is beautiful and the radiance of this eyeshadow really comes across.

Tonic is one of the newer shades from the Urban Decay Summer collection. I thought it was a lot like Omen when I first seen it but no, it is a shade all it's own. It is a purple with hints of blue and reddish tints. It goes on darker by far than Omen but goes with Omen well. Blends smoothly and evenly with all my other shadows and last all day and into the wee night hours. I do love this shade and look forward to the other new UD shadows this year. They have done something different and amazing with the new shadows. They look different in the pots and come across different when applied. In one word, Awesome!
